Children & Families

The Children’s ministry is an ever growing and integral part of the life of St James and is overseen by our Children and Families worker, Abi Marsh.

Sundays

During the 11am service have 2 groups for children between the ages of 18mths to 14 years.

18mths-10yrs
 An interactive Sunday morning group, led by Abi Marsh
Learning basic principles of who God is and who we are in God
Craft, drama, songs, prayer, messy play, stories, games and fun!

11-14yrs
Sunday morning discussion group, led by Wendy Wyper, looking at what the bible says about God and how our lives reflect Him.
Bible study, prayer, creativity, drama and discussion
Parents with children under 18months are encouraged to remain in the service where a play area is provided at the back of church.

Midweek activities

Toddler group
Toddler group is held at St James, every Thursday morning from 10-11:30.
Arts and crafts, music and stories are regularly incorporated alongside a healthy snack for children and tea and coffee for adults.

After school Club
Group for 6-10 year olds, every Monday from 4-5:30pm
Snooker, table football, craft, board games, snacks, team games and fun!

ReGenerate
Social group for 11-14 year olds, every other Thursday from 6-8pm
Fun, food, games, music, craft and a 10 minute slot for questions and discussion on life issues.
