Our Donations Committee decide how to allocate the 10% of our income used to support mission and similar activities away from the Church itself. We have clear criterea for this and support individuals connected to St James' rather than organisations. We do not allocate the whole fund to those permaently overseas as we also feel it is good to encourage short-term mission and taster trips, as well as those going on Christian camps and houseparties.

We also send out Christmas Parcels, especially to those of our Scattered Community who are living abroad, and we have often packed these up as a whole church activity on our annual Church Holiday.
