Open Door Meal

For many years, St James the Less has provided a hot meal – the ‘Open Door Meal’ – to up to 150 homeless and vulnerably housed people every two weeks, run almost entirely by volunteers.  Having had to stop for a period while renovating our Centre we reopened the ODM in June 2015 to serve a meal on the second and fourth Fridays of each month (except August) .  We now regularly serve 90-100 guests a hot meal in our Centre and tea and coffee and fruit and cake served in the church.

Sadly we are currently not able to serve the meal due to the restrictions on social gatherings as a result of Coronavirus.  We hope that if these are lifted gradually we may able to start offering the meal as a takeaway and will post information on that here.
