Outreach Community Worker Post

  • Be willing to commit to the community in Pimlico and to be an active member of James the Less.
  • Be able to build on and develop our existing work with the homeless and vulnerably housed, those with dementia, the elderly and the mentally unwell.
  • Have experience and understanding of working within areas of ethnic diversity and deprivation.
  • Have experience of developing fresh expressions of church amongst the homeless and those struggling with mental ill health.
  • Have experience of issues around addictions
  • Be a self-starter and strategic thinker.
  • Be able to work flexibly and collaboratively, especially with other staff and with the statutory services.
  • Be an effective trainer and encourager of volunteers.
  • Be willing to get involved in fundraising to develop the role and the work.
  • For 20 hours per week – to be worked flexibly on site.
  • Salary pro rata of £26,000-28,000 year i.e. £13,500-14,000 (depending on experience).
